The Content of ALCO's civil Engineering workload is wide ranging and includes earthworks, reclamation, demolition, drainage, road construction and maintenance, concrete structures and pavements. One of the Company's main strengths is it's versatility and ability to carry out a diverse range of operations with it's own workforce and plant limiting the need to sub-contract, therefore providing clients with a greater degree of continuity and reliability.
The Company enjoys excellent relationships with it's clientele which typically consists of Local Authorities, Government Bodies, Developers, Facility Management Groups and Major Companies.
Several prestigious Contracts have been completed in recent years including Runways at Newcastle Airport, which necessitated six months of night time working. Special disciplines from management and operatives were required and the successful completion demonstrated ALCO's ability to adapt to whatever today's Construction Industry demands.
